A Seal’s Journey with Cape Elizabeth Land Trust

February 20 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Join Marine Mammals of Maine at the Thomas Memorial Library as we take you through a seal’s journey from stranding to release, and all of the obstacles in between. Starting with seal basics such as: whether it’s normal for them to be out of the water and why you might see a baby on its own, and then dive into when and why seals need our help. You will learn what MMoME is, what we do, the animals we care for (with special stories from Cape Elizabeth), and how you can help.

Presenter info:
Jessica Woodend has been volunteering with MMoME for the past 7 years. She helps with events and presentations, and is also on the response and animal care team. Jessica has built a career in wildlife education and has been able to connect communities to their local wildlife in locations across the country.
